Running Knitware on Windows Vista
Knitware version 2.50.2 has been tested by Great Knit Designs (GKD) on
Windows Vista Business Edition. It installed and ran in "native mode" with no
special changes or provisions being requested from Vista.

Knitware has also been installed on
Windows Vista Home Edition without any
problems, but the Knitware programs must be run in "compatibility mode" on this
version of Vista.

There is also a Professional Edition of Vista, but GKD support staff has not tested
Knitware specifically on the Professional Edition.

Knitware is a "legacy Windows application": it is a stable product that will work on
any platform (operating system and hardware) that supports older
32-bit
Windows XP applications
. Consult the Vista documentation for for more
informationabout running older applications.

Note: Versions of Knitware that pre-date version 2.50.2 are unlikely to run on any
edition of Windows Vista.
